The Preacher’s Commentary | Reviews, Theology, Pictures

The Preachers CommentaryThe Preacher’s Commentary was previously released under the series title, Mastering the Old Testament and Mastering the New Testament. Prior to that, the series was released under the title, The Communicator’s Commentary. The content is each volume, what the series title, is the same.

Pastors are the target audience for these volumes. Preaching and teaching suggestions and applications are offered. Authors take a conservative evangelical approach to Scripture.

Volumes use The New King James Bible translation, which uses Hebrew and Greek as its textual basis, and generally follows the flow of the 1611 King James Version.

Reverence for God is preserved in the capitalization of all pronouns referring to the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit.

Readers who are more comfortable with another translation can readily find the parallel passage by means of the chapter and verse reference at the end of each passage being exposited.

The paragraphs of exposition combine fresh insights to the Scripture, application, rich illustrative material, and innovative ways of utilizing the vibrant truth for his or her own life and for the challenge of communicating it with vigor and vitality.
